The company collects and analyzes worldwide e-commerce transaction data, enriched with comprehensive information on online retailers, countries, regions, and markets, to generate structured insights into the development of global digital commerce. Based on these data-driven analyses, ECDB enables companies to better understand market dynamics, benchmark performance against competitors, and support strategic decision-making within the international e-commerce landscape.
Tasks
As a Working Student in the Product Team, you will support the ideation, conceptualization, design, and testing of new features for our e-commerce data platform. You will also assist in preparing and communicating product concepts to our software development team.
You will work closely with our Product Lead, who will guide and support you throughout your learning journey while giving you the opportunity to take ownership of tasks and develop your skills in both product development and design.

Product & Feature Development
- Ideation and conceptualization of new product features
- Supporting the planning and structuring of product initiatives
- Assisting with feature briefings for the development team
- Designing user interfaces and improving user experiences for our platform
- Creating wireframes, mockups, and simple prototypes
- Contributing to the usability and visual consistency of the product
- Conducting user, market, and competitor research
- Supporting product discovery and validation processes
- Prototyping and testing new product features
- Monitoring and analyzing product performance (e.g., via Google Analytics)
- Supporting data-driven product improvements
Requirements
Your Skills
- Affinity for UI/UX design or digital product development
- Organizational and structured working style
- Self-driven and eager to learn
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Attention to detail
- Curious and empathetic, with a user-focused mindset
- Collaborative team player
- Clear communicator who can explain complex ideas simply
- Fluent in English (German language skills are a plus)
- Availability to work 15 - 20 hours per week
- Located in Hamburg or the surrounding area
- Currently enrolled at a university
- Figma (or similar design tools)
- Miro or other collaboration tools
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Google Analytics or similar analytics tools
- Content production (video, photo, etc.)
- Visual design or branding
- Data analytics
- Psychology or user research
- Business or product strategy
- Frontend development
